Adoption Time Line

6/5/10 ~ We 1st hear of Heng Yang Yun from the LPA Adoption List ~ We contacted the Mom advocating for Yun ~ We see her photo for the 1st time.

6/7/10 ~ Contacted WACAP

6/8/10 ~ Our pre-approval paperwork is sent to China

6/23/10 ~ Good news/Bad news: China isn't concerned that we've been married for less than 2 years, that I'm divorced and that I have a handful of medical issues, instead they are concerned about Yun being adopted by a FAMILY OF DWARVES! They request pictures or our family out and about with freinds and family, in the community, showing that we "are accepted"......... ? ? ?

6/24/10 ~ Pictures sent to China

6/29/10 ~ Pre - Approved!!!!!

7/26/10 ~ We begin our HOMESTUDY

9/17/10 ~ Homestudy complete

10/8/10 ~ Received I-797C, our I800A has been received and is in process

10/19/10 ~ Received fingerprint appointments for 11/16/2010

10/26/10 ~ Brian's BIRTHDAY and the day we WALKED IN to the Milwaukee USCIS office for our fingerprints

11/2/10 ~ Received notice that my fingerprints failed

11/5/10 ~ Walked in to Milwaukee USCIS again and I was fingerprinted AGAIN

12/9 ~ I800A Approved!

12/29/10 ~ DTC!!!!!!!!!
